Champlain Mental Health Network - Mental Health Promotion and Education Promotion Work Group

This network was created in 2008 as a subcommittee of the Champlain Mental Health Network. Based on a common understanding of mental health promotion and mental illness prevention, its goal is to promote and advocate for mental health programming in the Champlain LHIN.

Webinars for the new Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Quadrant Software from CCIM

The Community Care Information Management (CCIM) program’s HRIS project team at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has launched a new HRIS Quadrant Software Webinar for Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMH&A) and Community Support Services (CSS) organizations across the province.

The webinar reviews how to:

  • implement the Quadrant (HR, Payroll, Scheduling and Self Service) software
  • streamline back-office processes
  • meet Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards requirements

Champlain LHIN focuses on people with mental health issues and/or problematic substance use in IHSP for 2010-2013

The Champlain LHIN has released its Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP) for 2010-2013.

Transforming Health Care: One Person at a Time is focused on improving the health and health system for three specific populations:

  • People with mental health issues and/or problematic substance use
  • People with pre-diabetes or diabetes
  • People with complex health conditions.

Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care releases Guide to Good Governance for LHIN Boards

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recently released the LHIN Guide to Good Governance as a resource to provide guidance based on leading practices to LHIN Board members and other stakeholders.

The Guide reviews five topic areas:

  • Leading practices in board governance
  • Board member roles and responsibilities
  • Board scenarios
  • Board evaluations
  • Checklists and policy documents

Champlain LHIN Seeks Feedback on Draft IHSP for 2010-2013

After consultations with the public, health service providers, and other stakeholders, the Champlain LHIN has released its Draft Integrated Health Services Plan (IHSP) 2010–2013.

The LHIN is seeking feedback on the draft IHSP. The deadline for responses is 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009.

Un appel pour l’innovation dans l’intégration et la coordination des services

Le RLISS de Champlain annonce des fonds de 1,2 million afin d’inviter les services communautaires de la région de Champlain à soumettre des projets qui vont favoriser une plus grande coordination et intégration des services. New funding to support coordination of services

The Champlain LHIN recently announced Request For Proposals targeting community health service providers. This funding is intended to invite the creation of integration and coordination of services that will improve the client access to services and improve continuity of care. Les hôpitaux de l’Est de l’Ontario s’avancent sur le plan d’intégration des services

Le RLISS de Champlain appuie les efforts du regroupement d’hôpitaux des comtés de l’Est de l’Ontario. Les hôpitaux de cette région du territoire de Champlain proposent de développer un « plan de répartition des services cliniques » pour la population de 190,500 qui habitent dans les cinq comtés de l’Est. Exploring integration possibilities among hospitals

Six area hospitals in the Eastern counties (of the Champlain LHIN area) are committed to creating an integrated hospital system for their population of approximately 190,500. These hospitals are in the process of developing a ‘hospital clinical services distribution plan’ and have received the Champlain LHIN’s Board’s endorsement for their project charter. Nouvel indicateur de mesure — temps d’attentes dans les salles d’urgence de Champlain

Le RLISS de Champlain approuve une modification de l’indicateur de temps d’attente dans les salles d’urgence. Dorénavant, le pourcentage de patients servi à l’intérieur d’une période de temps ciblée devient la nouvelle mesure du temps d’attentes dans le milieu des salles d’urgences des hôpitaux de la région de Champlain.
