Terms of Use

The purpose of the LHIN Exchange website is to enable mental health and addiction stakeholders in Ontario to share news about developments in their LHIN with others across the province. Through an open exchange of accurate and timely information, all stakeholders can contribute to the planning and development of an effective community mental health and addictions system.

Registered Users must agree to the following Terms of Use:

Registered users must provide a valid e-mail address and complete a user profile, including full name, job title, organization, affiliated LHIN and provincial association affiliation, prior to having their user account activated.

All registered user accounts must be approved by the website administrator. The administrator reserves the right to refuse any registration request or cancel any user account without prior notice in accordance with website policies.

Registered users will be identified as the author of any comment they publish on the LHIN Exchange. Their comments will be linked to their user profile, which is viewable by all registered users. Anonymous commenting is not permitted.

E-mail addresses of registered users will not be shared in the user profile. However, any registered user may be contacted by any other registered user by e-mail via an online contact form. Registered users have the option of disabling their own contact form (see settings under My Account). By using this site, you acknowledge that the LHIN Exchange is not responsible for the nature or frequency of contact by registered users.

If you choose to contact another user via the online contact form, your own e-mail address will be visible in the e-mail sent to that person.

The LHIN Exchange welcomes and encourages information exchange and commentary on all topics related to LHINs. By using this website, you agree to restrict your comments to pertinent matters.

All users will engage in constructive information-sharing and dialogue, based on mutual respect. The LHIN Exchange will not tolerate any inappropriate or offensive language, comments that are abusive, threatening, defamatory or libelous, or attacks, ad hominem or otherwise, on fellow posters. Should you engage in this behaviour or otherwise violate the rights of other posters, the LHIN Exchange reserves the right to pursue any and all remedies available, including, without limitation, deleting your comments and/or restricting, suspending or terminating your access to this site, without explanation, prior notice or liability.

Posting confidential or copyright-protected information is prohibited.

All information published on this website, including posts, comments and user profiles, is considered public information.

By using this site, you acknowledge and agree that sensibilities vary among people and that you may be exposed to comments you find offensive or otherwise objectionable. If you read a comment that you consider to be inappropriate, according to the Terms of Use, you are encouraged to notify the administrator using the “Report This Comment” link.

We are authorized by you to remove or modify any information or data submitted by you to this website that for any reason we feel is incorrect or constitutes a violation of our policies, whether stated, implied or not.
