Welcome to the LHIN Exchange for Mental Health and Addictions!

The LHIN Exchange is an initiative of six provincial organizations committed to improving the delivery of mental health and addiction services in Ontario, and to supporting the needs of those living with mental health and addiction problems, their families, and their communities.

This website was created to help mental health and addiction stakeholders across the province share information about what's going on in the LHINs.

What's a LHIN?

LHIN is the acronym for Local Health Integration Network. In 2005, the Ontario government began restructuring the provincial health care system into 14 regions, called Local Health Integration Networks. As of April 1, 2007, LHINs are responsible for planning, coordinating, funding and monitoring their local health system. For links to official LHIN and Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care websites, see LHIN Resources.
